What We Do

Creating Opportunities. Transforming Lives.

Our work focuses on three flagship programme areas that remove barriers to education, strengthen livelihoods, and build resilient communities. By combining learning opportunities, mentorship, skills development, and community engagement, we create pathways for lasting change and empower individuals to thrive today and in the future..

Girls Empowerment Program

We empower vulnerable girls in Kenya to access quality education, develop leadership and life skills, and become confident agents of change in their communities.

We support in-school girls aged 10–24 in junior and senior schools and tertiary institutions, especially girls from rural, low-income, marginalized, and vulnerable households. This includes orphans and vulnerable children, girls at risk of dropping out, girls from child- or female-headed households, girls living in extreme poverty or with disabilities, and survivors or those at risk of gender-based violence.

Projects

Youth Livelihood Program

We empower young people with the skills, knowledge, opportunities, and resources needed to secure sustainable employment, create viable enterprises, increase their income, and achieve economic self-reliance while contributing positively to their communities.

Our programme supports school leavers, unemployed youth, young women, youth with disabilities, and other vulnerable young people to transition successfully into productive and independent adulthood. Through practical training, mentorship, entrepreneurship support, financial inclusion, employment linkages, and positive youth engagement, participants develop the confidence and capacity to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute to local development.

Projects

Community Resilience and Advocacy

We strengthen community voices that protect, promote, and sustain the rights, safety, education, and opportunities of girls and young people.

EEO recognizes that sustainable progress for girls and young people depends on communities that actively protect their rights, support their opportunities, and advocate for their wellbeing. This focus area strengthens the knowledge, capacity, and participation of parents, caregivers, teachers, boys, young men, community leaders, schools, and local institutions.
